The soon-to-be-weds will be requested to complete a marriage license application that includes fundamental personal information about themselves and their birth parents. Applicants ought to be aware of the precise date on which their most recent marriage ended (if applicable) as well as the full birth names of their parents. The license will be meticulously reviewed for accuracy to ensure that no mistakes are made.
We will manually complete a customer copy and an original marriage license with the information provided to us in step 1.
Subsequently, you will be provided with informational brochures and an acknowledgment form to sign off, indicating your understanding that you will receive a confidential marriage license, not a public one.
If you decide to get married at a later date, we will discuss what needs to be provided to your minister and explain how they should complete their section of the license. It will be your minister's responsibility to ensure that the license is promptly sent to the county recorder's office in Norwalk after the wedding day. However, if you have chosen the marriage license and ceremony package, we will take care of it from there. We will handle the shipping, filing, and provide one certified copy (which is a $17 value on its own).
